Planks racked and locked, expansion gaps left, trim reinstalled.

Why us

What makes us better

01

The right core for the room

Standard laminate is not a bathroom floor unless its maker rates it waterproof. We say so before you buy it.

02

Installed to the manufacturer’s spec

Every material goes down the way its maker specifies — that is what the warranty is written against.

03

A written schedule, reviewed daily

You get the plan before demolition and a review of the next day’s work at the end of each workday.

Laminate & LVP FAQ

Are you supposed to put anything under laminate flooring?

Yes. Laminate floats over an underlayment pad, and over concrete the North American Laminate Flooring Association calls for a 6-mil vapor barrier as well. Some planks come with pad attached, so the manufacturer's instructions decide whether more underlayment is allowed.

Is laminate or LVP better for kitchens and bathrooms?

LVP is the safer choice for bathrooms and kitchens because its vinyl-based core is not damaged by water. Standard laminate has a wood-based core and is not suited to rooms with excess moisture unless the manufacturer rates it waterproof.

How much does it cost to pay someone to install laminate flooring?

Removal of the old floor, subfloor leveling, stairs and the number of doorways and transitions change the price more than the planks themselves.

Tight seams, trimmed transitions.
