The same order every time, so you always know which trade is in the house tomorrow.

01

Free on-site estimate

Room, tile size and layout pattern priced together.

02

Substrate check

Deflection and flatness measured — large format is the least forgiving.

03

Layout from the sightline

Set from the view into the room, not the nearest wall.

04

Set the tile

Mortar combed with a notched trowel, tiles back-buttered where required.

05

Grout and cure

Grout after the mortar cures, then we tell you when to walk on it.

Why us

What makes us better

01

Cracked grout is a prep problem

We correct deflection and flatness first, which is what keeps joints and tile intact years later.

02

Installed to the manufacturer’s spec

Every material goes down the way its maker specifies — that is what the warranty is written against.

03

One crew, one point of contact

The same crew that starts the job finishes it, so nothing is handed between subcontractors mid-project.

Tile Floors FAQ

How long before I can walk on new tile?

Many thinset mortars allow light foot traffic after about 24 hours, but grout and full cure times follow the setting-material manufacturer's instructions for that product and the room temperature

Can tile be installed over an existing floor?

Sometimes. Tile can go over a sound, flat existing tile or concrete floor, but vinyl, laminate and floating floors are removed first, and any bounce in a wood subfloor has to be corrected to prevent cracked tile and grout.

Is porcelain or ceramic tile better for floors?

Porcelain is denser and absorbs less water, so it suits bathrooms, entryways and busy areas. Ceramic floor tile works well in lower-traffic rooms and usually costs less. Either way, choose a tile the manufacturer rates for floor use.

How much does tile floor installation cost?

Tile size and layout pattern, subfloor preparation, removal of the old floor and trim or transitions drive most of the difference between quotes.

Flat substrate first, then tile.
